DELIVERY & PICK UP

General Delivery Policy

We require that someone be available to receive all our flower deliveries. We also require a working, local phone number for all deliveries.

Deliveries to businesses: We require a phone number for the recipient as some buildings will not accept perishable deliveries, and we need to call the recipient or representative to come to the lobby to accept the flowers. We cannot take responsibility if the recipient is away from the office or out of town. If the flowers are not accepted for those reasons, you will need to place another order for another time.

Deliveries to residences: If there is no doorman, we will contact the recipient to arrange a 2-hour window of time when someone can be home to receive the flowers. If, after setting up a delivery time, they are not home when the delivery arrives, the sender will be required to pay a return fee as well as a re-delivery fee before we will attempt another delivery.

How will my flowers be delivered?
To treat our work with the utmost of care, all of our arrangements are hand-delivered. We use a reliable courier service that is skilled at delivering our arrangements.
How will the delivery be presented?
Our arrangements are presented elegantly gift wrapped. The blooms are nestled in tissue, protected with cellophane and tied with our signature black satin ribbon.
How long can my gift message be?
We do not have a limit – however we encourage brevity – let the flowers speak for themselves!
Can I request a delivery time?
While we cannot guarantee a specific time for delivery, we encourage you to reach out if there are any questions or concerns. You may always call us at 212-240-9033.
Do you deliver to hospitals and universities?
Yes, we are happy to deliver to hospitals and universities. We do require a room number as well as a phone number for the recipient so that our courier can contact them or their representative directly if necessary.
Can I pick up an arrangement instead of having it delivered?
Yes, of course. We are more than happy to have you visit our studio and pick up your order. Simply choose Pick Up in the delivery portion of the checkout process.
What are your hours?
We are open 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday and 10am – 4pm on Saturdays (except for July and August when we are closed on Saturdays)
How do I get to your studio?
We are located at 26 Grand Street between 6th Avenue and Thompson Street. Please visit us.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

As flowers are perishable goods, all sales are non-refundable. However, we take great pride in the integrity and quality of our work at Élan Flowers, and would like for you to enjoy our beautiful arrangements as much as we do. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the arrangement you have received, please contact us within 24 hours so we might have the opportunity to resolve the issue.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

I love the arrangements on your site, but I am looking for something a little different--do you create custom arrangements?
We are always happy to accommodate special requests. Our bespoke services communicate to the personal taste and vision of each of our clients. Please bear in mind that if you are requesting special flowers we will need at least 24 hours to order them but depending on your request, we cannot promise a 24 hour turn around. We do require a minimum of $500 for a single custom arrangement or $1,000 for a complete custom order with multiple arrangements.

We do not have pre set wedding packages. We do have service expectations outlined in a package form based on budget. We see each event as unique and work with the couple to design each detail to match their unique taste, style and budget. To enquire, visit our wedding page.

PLANT CARE

To ensure your Élan arrangement stays looking its very best for as long as possible, please add fresh water on a daily basis. Direct sunlight is not recommended, and cooler room temperatures–65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit–are ideal. Avoid placing your arrangement near heating or cooling vents, in drafty areas, or near any appliances that give off heat. For orchid plants, we recommend placing three ice cubes at the base of the plant–avoiding direct contact with the leaves–once weekly. If the area in which the plant has been placed is rather dry, this can be done twice weekly. Yellowing leaves are usually not a cause for alarm; the life cycle of an orchid dictates that occasionally a leaf or two will be lost to make room for a new one. Mushy roots are indicative of over-watering. Orchid plants bloom up to three weeks after purchase. Blooms will wilt and fall off after the plant is done blooming. The flower stem will turn brown. During this phase, the orchid is simply resting, and with continuous care will be ready to bloom once more in approximately a year’s time.

How will my flowers arrive?
Your hand selected flowers will arrive in a wrapped bundle ready to be placed into a vase.
How do I arrange and care for my flowers?
Your flowers will always be accompanied by a care card with instructions for giving them a fresh cut before adding to water as well as tips to help them stay fresh for as long as possible. The arranging is the fun part – simply place in the vase that you received with your initial order or get creative with different containers.
